It is intention to treat our customers as we would
wish to be treated ourselves. The following lays out how we
intend to do this:
DELIVERY
Stock items will be despatched upon receipt of payment. Delivery
will be via Parcelforce or a specialist courier and will normally be up to 7
days, you will be advised as to the likely delivery date and any costs.
Alternatively it can be collected from Holme Pierrepont, our address or an
event to which we are attending. Non-stock
items will require full payment with order for individuals; for clubs and
groups an agreed appropriate level of deposit will be required. You will be
advised as to the likely delivery date dependent upon the items ordered and
manufacturing arrangements. Delivery/collection as above for stock items. Boats
are all hand built to your individual specification, a non-refundable minimum deposit of £200 is
required upon acceptance of the order, the balance is required upon delivery.
Typically delivery is 8-10 weeks, at some times in the year delivery may be
sooner however at peak times such as January - April this may extend to
approximately 12 weeks. The boat can be collected from Holme Pierrepont,
our address, an event to which we are going or by mutual arrangement
PAYMENTS
Payment will normally be required at time of order or time of purchase. The exception is with boats where a deposit is required as stated
above with full and final payment upon delivery.
In the exceptional circumstances of credit being given, then all items remain the property of Cool Blue Canoes Ltd until
all indebtedness is cleared. Where non-payment occurs, then Cool Blue Canoes Ltd reserve the right to pursue all debts
vigorously including through
the courts. Cool Blue Canoes Ltd also claims the right to enter premises to
reclaim any goods supplied by us where any non-payment takes place.
RETURNS AND
REFUNDS POLICY
This only applies to items
purchased directly from Cool Blue Canoes Ltd., it does not cover items
purchased from other retailers. Any
problems must be referred directly to the retailer from whom the item was
purchased.
We will not deal with any customer of another retailer with regard to
any issue other than improper behaviour of that reseller in regard of goods that
we supplied to them for resale.
Our 30-day returns guarantee
Our 30-day returns guarantee
means that if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return
it to us in its original condition within 30 days of the date you
received the item, unused and we will replace or refund the cost
Note: Our
returns guarantee for large items delivered via specialist courier is
limited to 14 days.
This returns policy does not
affect your statutory rights.
To ensure the safe return of your
items and the correct allocation of the items to your order, please follow the
guidelines below.
Firstly
please contact us so we can determine the nature of the problem and agree on
appropriate action. We will:
- If we supplied an item
or items that were not as originally ordered, these will be replaced with
the correct item upon their return.
We will reimburse any postage charges.
- If we supplied the
correct item and it is faulty – we will replace the item upon return and
reimburse any postage charges.
Cool Blue Canoes Ltd. will check all items returned as damaged or
defective. In the event we find no fault, we reserve the right to
re-charge you for the item/s and to recover our fees and expenses from
you.
- If we supplied the
correct item and you no longer want this item and it is not faulty then we
will issue a credit note for the amount of the item but not reimburse any
return postage.
For items purchased over the internet, for which we include
via email, by law, customers located in the European Union also have the right
to withdraw from the purchase of an item within seven working days of the day
after the date the item is delivered. For your protection, we recommend that
you use a recorded-delivery service if the value of the return is more than 50
GBP.
Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of
returning the items to us unless we delivered the item to you in error, or if
the item is damaged or defective. If we do not receive the item back from you
with the delivery slip, we may arrange for collection of the item from your
residence at your cost.
To
return an item:
- You must have spoken
to us prior to the return so we know what the problem is and we will
advise you accordingly.

Please state who the item is from and that it is a
return, so we are clear as to who has sent this item.
Or we may suggest passing it to us at a forthcoming
event where we will be if this is more convenient for both parties.
- Any returned item must
be packaged appropriately to ensure that it is adequately protected.
We are unable to exchange items
that are not damaged, defective or incorrect
In the event of Cool Blue Canoes
Ltd. sending you a replacement for a damaged, defective or wrong item, we must
have received the original item first.
Ordering
of boats has specific requirements. As all boats are
custom built to order, any order is only secured by the payment of a
deposit of £200 per boat unless the order is placed by an
established corporate customer. This deposit is non-returnable
in the event of the customer cancelling the order or refusing to
take delivery of the boat(s).
Please
note that all boats are built to your specific instructions, if
these are incorrect Cool Blue Canoes accept no liability if the boat
delivered does meet the instructions given. If however the boat is
not built to those instructions we will use our best endeavours to
rectify or compensate for any error.
Cool
Blue Canoes cannot accept any responsibility for errors of other
parties who incorrectly fit out any boat that we supplied.
PRIVACY POLICY
What personal information about customers does Cool Blue Canoes Ltd gather?
Here are the types of information we gather.
Information you give us: we receive and store any information you provide us when making enquiries
or placing orders, this may include invoicing and delivery addresses,
phone numbers and email addresses. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as
responding to your requests, providing information, and communicating with
you.
Financial information: Any financial information such as bank details, credit or debit card information is only
kept for the purpose of the single transaction for which it was
provided. The information is deleted electronically and any hard copy information is securely disposed
of by shredding once the transaction is complete.
What about cookies? We do not employ
cookies on our website.
Sharing information with others: Information about our customers is
an important part of our business and we are not in the business of selling it to
others. We do not share your personal information with any other
organisation. The sole exception to this is where you the customer ask us to ensure a manufacturer contacts you, in
which case we would pass the information purely on your request.
Do we sell to children? Clearly this is unlikely to happen with large items due to value but conceivably could with low value items at
events. Where we are approached by a
child we always will ask them to return with an adult to ensure that they are
purchasing suitable equipment and that they should be making that purchase.
